Ottoman - HOI4 - New Ottoman Empire

I played the campaign until 01 Mar 1915 and without Serbia the Great War didn't happen - this is what SE Europe looks like: Here the global picture. Pretty boring so I went back in time to 10 Jan 1913 and carved up the Balkan League differently. This time I annex Bulgaria, Greece and Montenegro. I also take Moravia but ignore Serbia so they can still assassinated the Austro-Hungarian Crown Prince if they wish. The Treaty of Sofia. The production schedule after including the captured MFs. We are 7th in the global standings. The Empire does look impressive. I convert the 6 trained Garrison Divisions to Infantry Divisions.... ….then order them to garrison the northern regions of the Empire. I order Army Thrace to the border with Bosnia. 12 Jan 1913: I upgrade 4 of the old-style Cavalry Divisions.... ….then send the entire 2nd Army to Aleppo. I upgrade 2 more and order them to Aleppo as well. We have surplus equipment for the army. That's somet

Hanaue Ghetto-Gedenkstätte

Photos I took of the Hanau Ghetto Wall Memorial. Before Hitler came to power there was a thriving Jewish community in Hanau numbering several thousand. At the middle of 1943 there were zero. These are photos from just one segment of the wall. They were all ages from children to grandparents. Entire families. It's a long wall....

Ottoman - HOI4 - Consolidation

25 May 1913: I haven't produced any armoured vehicles yet but one day it may be useful. 28 May 1913: I upgrade a couple of divisions.... ….and a few weeks later 2 more. 20 Jun 1913: Looking at the Romanian focus tree doesn't tell me anything of value. 23 Jun 1913: It is time to build airships so an improved variant is created.... ….and put into production. Obviously not a priority weapon system for me. 01 Jul 1913: I want one in black too.... 03 Jul 1913: The doctrine Mobile Position has been completed. I select Improved Infantry Equipment I next. 04 Jul 1913: The war in China has finished.... ….and the Qing Dynasty lost. I decide to improve relations with the new government. 05 Jul 1913: The official release. 11 Jul 1913: Our Black Sea Fleet has 24 destroyers so I split it into two fleets.... ….and order the new 3rd Fleet to patrol in the Eastern Mediterranean. 27 Jul 1913: The naval doctrine High Seas Fleet is completed.
