13 May 1943: Army Germania has already captured Berlin and is poised to advance further to Hamburg, the new provisional German capital. 14 May 1943: First The Netherlands then Switzerland ask for a Non-Aggression Pact. Since I have no intention of attacking the Allies I see no reason not to accept the offers. I need more tungsten so I go to Portugal again. I agree to a Non-Aggression Pact with South Africa too. 18 May 1943 and Infantry Anti-Tank I technology has been researched. The advance to the Baltic Ports continues. Army Alps needs to advance through Warsaw to reach East Prussia so I give some encouragement. I choose to research the FNAB-43 submachinegun for the infantry. 21 May 1943 and many Non-Aggression Pacts are being signed. Graziani's Army of coastal divisions are performing well. They have passed through the Alps and are now heading towards    Stuttgart. 24 May 1943 and General Messe has been wounded. That is sad loss. We are now ope

06 May 1943 at 04:00 the long awaited campaign begins. We attack on a very broad front stretching from the French Riviera to the Carpathians. Also along the entire border with Hungary. The vast majority of the battles are proceeding in our favour (green). There are dozens of Divisione Costieras being employed and they attacking in mountainous areas (some fortified) so I am not expecting huge advances there. My goal is to engage the German forces so that they can't be transferred elsewhere. At 18:00 my four Parachute Divisions conducted a combat jump (the largest in history) NW of Budapest. Only 2 divisions are defending the Hungarian capital. I have also initiated an attack from the south. At 23:00 it is announced that Free India and Qing China have joined Hungary. Haven't they both capitulated? It is probably the governments in exile sabre rattling. All these nations (all Allies) are requesting military access. I say yes to all of them. 01 Apr 1943: Several armies will be involved so I start with General Messe's Army Germania. It is assigned a sector of the front which is nearest to Berlin, its main objective. Next Army Mobile is relieved of duties at the French border... ... and is allocated a sector on Army Germania's left flank.  Army Piedmont's sector is widened to include the Swiss Alps north of Milan. Finally Army Italia is split into two halves... ... with one half used to fill the gap opposite eastern Switzerland. Starting on the left flank I mark Army Piedmont's objectives. I do the same for the other four armies. Last but not least Army Hungary also receives its marching orders. (I have overlooked the gap between this army and the Bulgarians.) 03 Apr 1943: Air wings are assigned to the armies. We now have air superiority over the western Mediterranean. The enemy is concentrating on southern France and that is not my problem. That's one for Hermann Göring. 14
