Italy - HOI4 - Operation Barbarossa (I)

06 May 1943 at 04:00 the long awaited campaign begins. We attack on a very broad front stretching from the French Riviera to the Carpathians. Also along the entire border with Hungary. The vast majority of the battles are proceeding in our favour (green). There are dozens of Divisione Costieras being employed and they attacking in mountainous areas (some fortified) so I am not expecting huge advances there. My goal is to engage the German forces so that they can't be transferred elsewhere.
At 18:00 my four Parachute Divisions conducted a combat jump (the largest in history) NW of Budapest. Only 2 divisions are defending the Hungarian capital. I have also initiated an attack from the south.
At 23:00 it is announced that Free India and Qing China have joined Hungary.
Haven't they both capitulated? It is probably the governments in exile sabre rattling.
All these nations (all Allies) are requesting military access. I say yes to all of them.

...and in the Swiss Alps. The road to Munich is wide open.

Here the Eastern Front and north Hungarian Front. For some unknown reason 3 of my parachute divisions are leaving the frontline....
 Finally the whole Hungarian battle.
07 May 1943: Bulgaria is asking to join the war.
So is Turkey. I welcome both of them.
The confirmation.
I also agree to a Non-Aggression Pact with Britain. Maybe one day we can fight as allies against the Japanese.
I grant all these nations military access.
09 May 1943. Major breakthroughs on the Central Front.
12 May 1943: Budapest and Pecs have fallen and Hungary is 100% towards capitulation. The German Reich is at about 50%.
We have sunk another Spanish submarine.
13 May 1943: At 01:00 Hungary officially capitulates after one week of war.
 This is the equipment we capture. Most of it is junk.
All that remains is to be done is mopping up the German divisions that are in Hungary.
In the next post Germany is the main adversary. Until soon, folks.

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll.
