Australia - HOI4 - Spring 1937

I'm going to rearrange my air force to show you how it is done...I left click on the air base at Sydney, the screen is now in Air Mode. Most of the Air Zones are out of ops range that's why they are reddish but I am doing an air transfer. I left click the button to the right of the word Selected and the No.1 Squadron is split into 2 squadrons of 12 aircraft each. I then left click on No.2 Squadron then right click on the base I want to move it to.
I move it to Papua. To assign the squadron a mission I left click on the Tank button (Close Support) then right click in the New Guinea air zone. Done. No.1 Squadron has the same mission over Eastern Australia.

On 22 Mar 1937 a green MF has arrived in the alert area at the top of the screen informing me that there is a free MF. I left click on it and...
 ...the Production Screen appears. I assign the new MF to Artillery production.
 On the Construction screen I place another CF in queue. The blue colour means that there are no further slots for new factories in that region.
 The mother country decides that I don't need their Lend Lease anymore - I don't.
The next 70 day Focus (Strengthen the Homeland) has completed and WOW!
 Every coastal region has a level 2 fort - cities have an even higher level.
 The next Focus I choose is Sever Ties With UK - the last step to Independence.
There is work to be done in June but first there is some good news. The Hindenburg had a close call.
I spend 75 PP to hire Jack Piddington, an Electronics Developer to speed-up my research.
 We've completed researching Improved Machine Tools...
 ...and I select Excavation I next.
 One can see Jack in the Research and Production Box.
Since we now have enough 18-pdr guns I start a production line for Support Equipment. We need this for Engineers, Recon, etc. which we shall later attach to the Divisional units.
The 6th Infantry Division has arrived. It is "green" so I've assigned it to the new Army Training Command for further training.
 A reminder that I am producing something which has no template.
Finally the research project Mechanical Computing has completed.
I select Concentrated Industry II next.
 At least 5 months wait for both projects.
Summer is arriving very soon so that's all for this post.

Welcome to a new game as Italy. Unlike Australia, Italy is already at war with Abyssinia, it is a fascist nation and has much larger armed forces. However, Mussolini came to power a dozen years before Hitler and his large military is equipped with WW1 equipment, he has only one good general who can't be everywhere at the same time and Mussolini is an idiot. Not the best pre-requisites to build a global empire. But we have to make do with what we have....so here is Italy at the start. I create an Alpine army and give them a fairly good commander then...  ...order them to a port. They are going to Abyssinia. I grab the rest of the army...  ...assign a lousy commander then...  ...order them to the Austrian border to remind Hitler that we also have plans for the alpine nation. Germany - HOI4 - Looking Eastwards

18 Nov 1936: Research on Concentrated Industry II has completed. I choose to research the SP-AT Marder II which will make something useful out of my useless Pz. Is and Pz. IIs. 05 Dec 1936: The doctrine Delay is selected. The +15% organization is very useful. I also spend 150 PPs on Henschel tank designers with emphasis on speed and reliability 08 Dec 1936: I upgrade 8 more infantry divisions. 16 Dec 1936: The focus KdF-Wagen is completed. I choose Treaty with the USSR next - a joint tank design venture. I also deploy another 8 infantry divisions. 19 Dec 1936: AT-gun development has been completed. Time to develop a Fallschirmjäger force. 27 Dec 1936: Two fully trained motorized infantry divisions are assigned to Guderian's new Panzerarmee. I say new because the forces used against Austria were barely a Corps-sized unit and in need of reform. A couple of days later the SP-AT Marder II becomes available. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort .
