Italy - HOI4 - Battle of France (II)
16 Jan 1941 and the German advance continues.
19 Jan 1940: The Wehrmacht assaults further but the French line is holding.
25 Jan 1941: Major advances north and east of Paris.
28 Jan 1941 and there is a massive breakthrough east of Paris.
The Axis are now clearly winning this conflict.
31 Jan 1941: The Wehrmacht is at the eastern gates of Paris.
03 Feb 1941: Paris is now also threatened from the north and northwest.
05 Feb 1941: An important development in Asia. India has defeated the Axis ally Free India.
India is again united.
Former Siam, now the Rattanakosin Kingdom, an ally of Japan, is also under pressure.
Mega confusing. They are in an offensive war against the Allies and a defensive war against the Axis. The latter is because Qing China attacked Japan then joined the Axis!
08 Feb 1941: Back to France and the situation is very precarious.
14 Feb 1941 and the French line is holding again.
18 Feb 1941 and Italy just lost 10% points of Stability.
How it is calculated and what effect the current Stability has.
21 Feb 1941 sees no further German advances - the French defences are stubbornly holding.
01 Mar 1941 advances nearer to the Swiss border threatening to encircle the French forces defending the Maginot Line.
05 Mar 1941: More advances in eastern France.
06 Mar 1941: My focus Libyan Refineries has completed.
I reduce oil imports from Russia...
...and rubber imports from Dutch East Indies - sorry no screenshot.
Three CF's have been returned to Construction.
I choose Fortification Effort to be my next national focus.
10 Mar 1941 and the French front is still resisting the Wehrmacht.
12 Mar 1941 and major new offensives begin in eastern France and around Paris. German panzers advance closer to the Swiss border.
17 Mar 1941 and there have been gains for the Wehrmacht in both sectors.
19 Mar 1941 and panzer spearhead advances to the gates of Lyon.
20 Mar 1941: The defences around Paris are crumbling. There are German gains north of Lyon too.
22 Mar 1941 and Paris is captured.
On the same day France capitulates.
There is no armistice. France is totally defeated. Switzerland is the next target.
All unoccupied French territory becomes Free French and still a member of the Allies.
