Germany - HOI4 - Further Modernization

28 Apr 1940: The research on Excavation III has been completed.
I decide to develop the 7.5 cm AT-Gun next.
25 May 1940 - I deploy these 16 assault divisions early. Most of them will be going to East Prussia for my separate attack on the Baltic States.
31 May 1940: The focus Long-Range Escorts has arrived.
I choose Air Innovations II as the next national focus.
07 Jun 1940: Armee Süd's infantry divisions are upgraded to assault divisions. I'm short on artillery but the guns should arrive in the upcoming months.
16 Jun 1940: The Luftwaffe can now start receiving the Ju 87G.
A more powerful version of this Stuka will be procured..
I select the Messerschmidt Bf 110 next. I won't build it though because I want to procure the design below it. The Me 410 Hornisse (Hornet).
02 Jul 1940: Advance Equipment Conversion arrives enabling my tank destroyers to be produced more effectively. 

The next technology to be researched is Improved Decimetric Radar. We are bit behind developing radars.
08 Jul 1940: The improved MG and Mortars arrive....
….and on 09 Jul 1940 we receive the new 75 mm Pak 40 AT-gun.
11 Jul 1940: I start researching Improved Infantry Equipment I.
On 29 Jul 1940 the Messerschmidt Bf 110 arrives.
I now start developing the Me 410 as planned.
05 Aug 1940 and we hear that Leon Trotsky has been assassinated. I won't lose any sleep because of it....
I spend 150 PPs replacing Kurt Schumacher with Konrad von Neurath. A foreign relations guy. We are democratic enough for my liking.
09 Aug 1940: The focus Air Innovations II has been completed.
I select Rocketry next.
18 Aug 1940 and a key technology has been researched: Improved Computing Machine.
That enables Decryption - Side-Channel Attack.
20 Aug 1940: Wow! The Boers are rising up against the UK again.
Let's send some Lend Lease.
Hopefully they can keep the British busy for a while.
31 Aug 1940: We do need some kind of justification.
Also the British are requesting to move troops through our territory. Why not? After all, we want to show that we are neutral in their conflict.
04 Sep 1940 sees the Messerschmidt 410 becoming available. We don't need it yet but it will be useful against the Soviets.
I research the doctrine Ground Support Integration next. The +20% bonus can make a big difference in an air-strike.
07 Sep 1940: The Japanese have prevailed against China. Hopefully they will attack the Soviets next in order to keep them distracted from Europe.
08 Sep 1940: The Guangxi Clique has joined the Mutual Assistance Bloc. I have absolutely no idea what that entails. Europe has been keeping me busy.
15 Sep 1940: Great! Improved Artillery Upgrade I has completed development.  
I start development of halftracks for my motorized infantry.
That ends this post. A lot of new equipment has arrived which will give Germany a qualitative advantage in the next conflict. Bis bald!

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort . Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll....
