22 Sep 1911: The Russian defences in the East are being to give way. Lodz is being threatened by troops from 9th Army.
23 Sep 1911: The gap in the Russian lines has been widened and an ambitious thrust behind enemy lines is planned.
Meanwhile in the West we are stubbornly holding on to the captured Belgian territory.
27 Sep 1911: No change and we are still short on equipment,
28 Sep 1911: The French have managed to reinforce the defending troops in Liege....
29 Sep 1911: We have gained the technology Continuous Track.
We now research Improved Oil Drilling.
In South Africa we have captured the capital Pretoria. Now lets rush for Cape Town.
30 Sep 1911: 9th Army continues to advance on a broad front. The Austrians are making great headway too.
02 Oct 1911: In the Balkans I am disengaging 7th Army. The Serbian Army is no real threat.
04 Oct 1911: Two divisions are still embroiled in a battle and have difficulty retiring. The terrain here favours the defence for both sides.
06 Oct 1911: We just can't break though to Liege...
The Russian defences west of Warsaw are about to fail...
….and they did. !5 Oct 1911 Warsaw has been captured and Russian forces are in danger of being encircled to the north and the south. A major development!
17 Oct 1911: A disaster! 70 French and British submarines sunk one of our merchant ships. To be honest though we do have air superiority and subs underwater are very slow in 1911.
19 Oct 1911: I order 7th Army to Zagreb in case the Italians get involved.
Maybe King Victor-Emmanuel is only going after Libya and that means the Ottomans not us.
22 Oct 1911: A decisive naval victory in the Baltic. The Russians have been dealt a real blow!
In Poland the Russian forces are being devastated.
26 Oct 1911: I deploy 2 new air wings near Warsaw.
31 Oct 1911: Another disaster is looming for the Russians NW of Warsaw.
03 Nov 1911: The Austrians are about to take Brest-Litovsk in the Russian rear (bottom-right). Their central front is falling apart. Well done our Austrian allies!!!
08 Nov 1911: North of Warsaw 13 Russian divisions are trying and maybe succeeding to escape eastwards.
10 Nov 1911: We have the upper hand in the North but we are not advancing....
11 Nov 1911: Italy declares war on the Ottoman Empire. Now that is interesting!
Time for a strategy meeting, guys. Bis bald!

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort . 06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll....
