07 Aug 1910: I'm trying to recruit 25 new divisions but I simply don't have enough equipment for them.
I'm not producing enough to meet requirements either.
15 Aug 1910: So how are the neighbours fairing? Anti-Ottoman is the focus in France.
Britain is guaranteeing the independence of Belgium, (France is too), and its focus is Support Russian Empire.
Russia has joined the Entente and is now focussing on Balkan Politics.
29 Aug 1910 and Montenegro becomes a Kingdom. Good luck!
03 Sep 1910: I add a couple of battalions to my Mountain Division template.
14 Sep 1910: The U19 Class submarine is now available.
I select Mechanical Computing next.
18 Sep 1910: My focus Support Italy has completed. What are they doing?
European Focus. I'm not sure if that is just completing or beginning....
I select Secret Alliance with Romania. I need to counter Russian ambitions in the Balkans.
Bosnia-Herzegovina has become part of Austria-Hungary. Construction is so slow....
30 Sep 1910: Oil Extraction arrives.
I select Heavy Industry next.
06 Oct 1910: Portugal has become a Republic by ousting the Monarchy.
31 Oct 1910: Trench Excavation has been researched.
I choose to research Human Powered Transport next.
17 Nov 1910: I designate Rheinmetall as a government contractor thus placing emphasis on artillery design.
27 Nov 1910: A revolution in Mexico.
A Civil War begins.
Our focus Secret Alliance with Romania has completed and....
….we select Send German Advisors next.
That's all for this post. The sides in the brewing war are forming. Russia and France are bound together so I cannot avoid a two-front war. The UK and Italy are still uncommitted. Bis bald....

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort . Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll....
