Prussia - HOI4 - Setting Up

01 May 1910: Germany looks a bit different doesn't it? We even have colonies...
I've assigned 18 MFs to the army - 3 more are building biplanes and 2 are building airships.
I import chromium from Turkey....
….and Greece....
….as well as oil from the Netherlands.
My construction - fairly balanced at the moment.
My research. We need a Fleet Submarine not just the coastal stuff.
I select an Army Theorist because we have a lot of plans for them.
I choose Renew Triple Alliance as my first national focus.
Now I organize troops into armies and assign them to various missions. And off we go...

18 May 1910: Yep, in the Balkans there is always something happening....
28 May 1910: I upgrade my overseas infantry troops to full-strength Infantry Divisions.
I also add three artillery battalions to my Stoßtruppen-Divisionen.
01 Jun 1910: Good for them - a step towards independence?
We don't have many friends in Europe but they are not exactly enemies either.
 18 Jun 1910: I form my first air wing in East Prussia.
04 Jul 1910: I add to Siege Artillery battalions to my Festung-Divisionen located on the border with France.
09 Jul 1910: The focus Renew Triple Alliance has been completed.
I'm hoping to lure Italy into the Alliance with Support Italy.
24 Jul 1910: Nice for Japan but I have no ambitions over there.
31 Jul 1910: The techs Basic Hand Tools....
,,,,and Vauban's Works on Defence have completed.
 I select the techs Trench Excavation....
….and Improved Hand Tools to research next.
07 Aug 1910: Finally I select General August von Mackensen as Chief of Army.
Not much action before the war starts but at least I can design and build my armed forces. Bis bald!

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll.
