Prussia - HOI4 - Aftermath (I)

13 Aug 1915: We still need to neutralize Tunisia before we finally have peace on all fronts. General von Kluck's Armee Marokkan can handle that.
A quick check on my Division Overview and I see that all 13 of my Panzer-Divisionen still exist.
That does look chaotic - where do I begin?
 20 Aug 1915: Tunisia has capitulated...
….and we annex both states.
24 Aug 1915: The Treaty of Gabes officially ends the war which France started.
I increase the production schedule for the Bayern Class battleships....
….and transfer 5 MFs from my Fokker production to the Albatros fighter aircraft.
My production for the army prioritizes the equipment deficits.
This is more repairs than construction. Pas de Calais suffered greatly.
I turn to Africa next. Sub-Saharan Africa will be garrisoned by Armee Afrika....
….while the remainder will be attended to by Panzerarmee Maghrib. If Italy becomes a problem their 'colony' in Africa will be dealt with swiftly. The same holds for Spain.
I take my 4 overseas armies and create Armeegruppe Übersee.
I assign 4th Army to the Spanish border...
….and 2nd Army to the Italian border. 
9th Army has the task of defending the Channel and Atlantic ports as well as the airfields in the regions. These three armies now belong to Armeegruppe West.
Armee APAC is hopelessly understrength so I dissolve 10th Army and assign the divisions to service overseas.
I also move the air wing from Casablanca to Tunisia and have it watch over the Central Mediterranean.
29 Aug 1915: The focus Aviation Effort II has been completed.
I select Infrastructure Effort II next.
8th Army is sent back Serbia to guard the border with Turkey.
Voilà!
Finally 5th Army is ordered to Munich.
These two armies plus 1st Army on the Soviet border become Armeegruppe Ost.
That's taken care of the army. More in the next post. Bis bald.

Welcome to a new game as Italy. Unlike Australia, Italy is already at war with Abyssinia, it is a fascist nation and has much larger armed forces. However, Mussolini came to power a dozen years before Hitler and his large military is equipped with WW1 equipment, he has only one good general who can't be everywhere at the same time and Mussolini is an idiot. Not the best pre-requisites to build a global empire. But we have to make do with what we have....so here is Italy at the start. I create an Alpine army and give them a fairly good commander then...  ...order them to a port. They are going to Abyssinia. I grab the rest of the army...  ...assign a lousy commander then...  ...order them to the Austrian border to remind Hitler that we also have plans for the alpine nation. Germany - HOI4 - Looking Eastwards

18 Nov 1936: Research on Concentrated Industry II has completed. I choose to research the SP-AT Marder II which will make something useful out of my useless Pz. Is and Pz. IIs. 05 Dec 1936: The doctrine Delay is selected. The +15% organization is very useful. I also spend 150 PPs on Henschel tank designers with emphasis on speed and reliability 08 Dec 1936: I upgrade 8 more infantry divisions. 16 Dec 1936: The focus KdF-Wagen is completed. I choose Treaty with the USSR next - a joint tank design venture. I also deploy another 8 infantry divisions. 19 Dec 1936: AT-gun development has been completed. Time to develop a Fallschirmjäger force. 27 Dec 1936: Two fully trained motorized infantry divisions are assigned to Guderian's new Panzerarmee. I say new because the forces used against Austria were barely a Corps-sized unit and in need of reform. A couple of days later the SP-AT Marder II becomes available. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort .
