Prussia - HOI4 - Armeegruppe Ost

19 May 1916: Only 1st Army is assigned to the future frontline at the moment but that can easily be changed. I need to include 3rd and 5th Armies.
21 May 1916: Still even in the Soviet Civil War. It's early days though.
27 May 1916: I move 5th Army nearer to the front....
….then on 01 Jun 1916 I unassign 8th Army which will remain in Serbia.
I then assign 5th Army to the frontline.
05 Jun 1916: The focus Dockyard Expansion III is completed....
….and (finally) I can select the Extra Research Slot focus.
I need some more oil so I import it from the Netherlands.
My construction projects in Indochina appears to have been completed. The French ports are now being fortified.
I now want to squeeze 3rd Army into the line between those two.
Done and it is now part of Armeegruppe Ost.
11 Jun 1916: The tech Mining II has been completed.
I select Advanced Hand Tools next
17 Jun 1916: The Soviets clearly have the upper hand in the civil war.
I assign new MFs to fighter production- I had previously 'borrowed' some to get the A7V A tank on the road.
22 Jun 1916: Great, I shall be receiving new items for the Army soon.
29 Jun 1916: Adopt Stahlhelm has arrived.
I plan level 4 airfields in 3 border regions....
….and move the projects to the front of the construction queue
I select Improved Torpedo Propulsion as my next research project.
I send the 18th and 20th Panzer-Divisionen to Africa (actually I sent all 4).
The 3rd Gebirgs-Division is assigned to 8th Army.
7 trained Stoßtruppen-Divisionen are assigned to 3rd Army,
two to 5th Army....
….and the last division is assigned to Army Baltikum.
Armeegruppe Ost now has 3 armies each with a full compliment of 24 Stoßtruppen-Divisionen. More preparations in the next post. Bis bald...

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll.
