Prussia - HOI4 - Coup or No Coup?

27 Mar 1916: The focus Infrastructure Effort III has been completed....
….and so has the development of the Sturmpanzerwagen A7V.
I select the focus Dockyard Expansion III....
….and the technology Mining II.
30 Mar 1916: I'm in no hurry to produce the new tank. The main factor is that it has been developed.
12 Apr 1916: The 1st Walloons Division has been fully trained so it rejoins its Army Command.
13 Apr 1916: The 2nd Division can go back to one of the islands now.
A couple of divisions from Armee APAC can also be returned to their Command.
15 Apr 1916: I move 5th Army from Munich to Vilna in NE Poland....
….and I move 3rd Army to Brest-Litovsk.
I also move the 10 Stoßtruppen-Division in training to Brest-Litovsk.
30 Apr 1916: I've received 3 new MFs and I add them to Fighter Production.
08 May 1916: I create the Sturmpanzerwagen A7V A variant...
….and enter it into production.
They need beaucoup chromium so I import more from Greece.
09 May 1916: The coup was successful!
The new Russia declares war on the Soviet Union. Look at the size of this Russia! Germany no longer has a border with the Soviets. Not funny!
Russia is awfully close to Petrograd and Moscow.
They are weaker than the Soviets and have only 2 MFs.
The Soviets should be able to finish them off but at what cost? Our popularity with the Soviets hasn't changed. We are still at +45.
11 May 1916: I transfer the 3rd Walloons Infantry Division from 4th Army to 5th Army.
It has a long way to go.
The strategy is working so far. There is a civil war in Russia again. Now I need to cancel the Non-Aggression Pact with the Soviets. To do that I need to have twice as many divisions on the border than they have in September. Bis bald, guys.

Welcome to a new game as Italy. Unlike Australia, Italy is already at war with Abyssinia, it is a fascist nation and has much larger armed forces. However, Mussolini came to power a dozen years before Hitler and his large military is equipped with WW1 equipment, he has only one good general who can't be everywhere at the same time and Mussolini is an idiot. Not the best pre-requisites to build a global empire. But we have to make do with what we have....so here is Italy at the start. I create an Alpine army and give them a fairly good commander then...  ...order them to a port. They are going to Abyssinia. I grab the rest of the army...  ...assign a lousy commander then...  ...order them to the Austrian border to remind Hitler that we also have plans for the alpine nation. In Eritrea we do the same...  .but this army gets the good general, Giovanni Messe. The Abyssinian troops are red because they are the enemy. Now the same again in Somali...

Germany - HOI4 - Looking Eastwards

18 Nov 1936: Research on Concentrated Industry II has completed. I choose to research the SP-AT Marder II which will make something useful out of my useless Pz. Is and Pz. IIs. 05 Dec 1936: The doctrine Delay is selected. The +15% organization is very useful. I also spend 150 PPs on Henschel tank designers with emphasis on speed and reliability 08 Dec 1936: I upgrade 8 more infantry divisions. 16 Dec 1936: The focus KdF-Wagen is completed. I choose Treaty with the USSR next - a joint tank design venture. I also deploy another 8 infantry divisions. 19 Dec 1936: AT-gun development has been completed. Time to develop a Fallschirmjäger force. 27 Dec 1936: Two fully trained motorized infantry divisions are assigned to Guderian's new Panzerarmee. I say new because the forces used against Austria were barely a Corps-sized unit and in need of reform. A couple of days later the SP-AT Marder II becomes available. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort .
