Prussia - HOI4 - Force Modernization

02 Sep 1913: I transfer an air group from Frankfurt to East Prussia. Not how much two of those air wings have been depleted.
Vlaanderen airfield is next on my list. I want to standardize an air wing with 36 aircraft.
At Moselland airfield I disband 3 air wings - their aircraft can be used to reinforce other wings.
I assign the remaining wings to German airspace.
Finally I move an air wing from Montenegro to the Zeppelin base near Belgrade.
10 Sep 1913: Logistics check next. I have a 185 day deficit on Infantry Equipment.
Field Artillery will be balanced in 46 days....
….while Heavy Artillery also requires 185 days.
19 Sep 1913: The new Krupp 75mm M1903 artillery piece is available for production.
I decide that my troops require Gas Masks.
I put the new gun into production.
24 Sep 1913: There is always a first time....
A quick look at Japan. I wonder why they are (still) guaranteeing the independence of Italy....
28 Sep 1913: Our Trench Warfare Focus has completed.
In line with my current navy policy I select Dockyard Expansion as the next focus.
I convert all my cavalry divisions to 'motorized' cavalry divisions....
….and decide to rechristen them Panzer Divisions. It sounds more modern.
29 Sep 1913: There are two more in 2nd Army. I reassign them to 1st Panzerarmee.
Next I upgrade the 24 divisions of 9th Army to Stoßtruppen-Divisionen. My Quartermaster-General really loves me for that trick.
01 Oct 1913: We are now almost 3,000 field guns in the hole.
04 Oct 1913: Turning to the Kriegsmarine I reduce the order books for capital ships to 1 at each production line. New models, yet to be designed, will be produced next.
I reduce light cruisers but not destroyers too. I leave submarine and merchants production unchanged.

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll.
