Prussia - HOI4 - Frying the French (I)

02 May 1915: I'm annoyed. My army was about to become fully equipped for the first time and now we have a huge war to fight. While the main battles will be in Metropolitan France both of us have considerable forces in Africa. I'm not going to be doing anything in other parts of the world. I believe that I have enough forces there to defend our territories.
Africa first because there is little to do. I won't be doing anything adventurous at first,. My goal is to defend my colonies. I want to try and stop that division retreating.
The same heading north from the Congo except there are two divisions..
Except for their puppet Tunisia France appears to be alone. It's early days though.
In Morocco there are the Atlas Mountains between us and them. It'll take a while to pass through them - then there is the question of supplying us east of the mountains.
I'm still critically short of Support Equipment. The 4 symbols at the top are from left to right are informing me that I have enough PPs to purchase an event; I have air wing(s) that have no mission assigned; clicking on the 3rd symbol opens the war summary and the last is A-H wanting to join the war. I won't touch that one. They'll have to be content with North Borneo.
I set objectives for 2nd Army.
I have to call Wallonia into the war because my forces can't attack from a neutral country.
That's taken care of.
I put my High Seas Fleet in Search and Destroy mode in the North Sea, Eastern North Sea and the English Channel.
I put my Fleet Submarines in Convoy Raiding mode in the same Naval Regions.
I cancel the garrison orders for 10th Army. They've become a weak but ready reserve until 5th Army arrives from Strasburg.
I start a diplomatic offensive in the UK and pray that they don't join France.
My main avenues of attack. I want to bypass Lille that's why the combat is 'red'. Green everywhere else though.
03 May 1915: No breakthrough yet but some high 'green' numbers.
I've formed a separate Armee Kongo in Central Africa. We have 7 divisions plus 3 Panzer-Divisionen arriving soon. Should be adequate enough to hold the line.
No real change in Togoland either. The embarked 6 Panzer-Divisionen are south of the Gold Coast.
Back in NW France I've ordered 5 Garrison Divisions to follow behind 2nd Army when it finally breaks through the French lines.
So France calls Tunisia into the conflict. They are also in my bad books now.
05 May 1915: A green '96' SW of Namur. The line is about to give!
We are getting nowhere in the Vosges but dozens of French divisions are being tied down so that they cannot help there colleagues further west.
In Morocco I have decided to cover the entire front. I don't want a French unit sneaking around into our rear.
A second French unit has arrived near Togoland but we have 3 more coming ashore.
No contact north of the Congo yet.
06 May 1915: The French line has been penetrated. Gas attack? The 20 divisions of 5th Army have been ordered to exploit that hole in the French defences.
09 May 1915: The research of Engineer Company II completed and I select Mobile Position next.
My research projects. Hopefully the war will be over before the top three are finished.
Now that is a massive breach in the direction of Paris. That has definitely got their attention.
10 May 1915: One division is at the gates at Paris while further north the left flank of 2nd Army (10 lilac divisions) is going to push westwards to the Channel in the hope of encircling the French defenders in and around Lille.
11 May 1915: 5th Army has split into two halves and is heading south. In the northwest the line is about to give again. Three battles have high green 90s.
Things have changed since the Great War. There is more mobility and the battles don't last so long. Later war weariness may take its toll though. At the moment I am trying to maintain the momentum.
