Prussia - HOI4 - Germany and Russia
07 Apr 1914: I move 7th Army to Munich. It will be upgraded when the equipment is available.
14 Apr 1914: 9th Panzer-Division is fully trained....
….and is assigned to 1st Panzerarmee.
26 Apr 1914: The focus Naval Gun Effort has been completed.
I select Zeppelin Focus next. The nearest thing there is to a strategic bomber....
I use the 2 dockyards received to commence building destroyers for 4th Schlachtschwadron at Casablanca.
04 May 1914: After receiving the doctrine Rifleman Primacy I turn to the Luftwaffe and select the Albatross D.III biplane. It is slightly faster and has a higher Air Attack factor than the triplane which is more agile and has a slightly larger range.
Here are more reasons why I don't intend going to war. The shortages. 217 days Support Equipment.
Infantry Equipment only 13 days now.
Field Guns require 182 days while...
….Armoured Cars need 1117 days. I'm not trying on this one because there will eventually be a new design.
So it is time to rearrange the furniture. Here is before....
….and after. More emphasis has been given to Support Equipment and Field Guns.
Now it is Togoland's turn to receive a development program.
06 May 1914: The production of the pre-war capital ships is nearing its end. The new battleship will soon be available.
15 May 1914: I hire Karl von Einem as a Political Advisor. Our global interests need to be fortified.
22 May 1914: I design a decent Gebirgsjäger-Division.....
….and start recruiting one in Upper Bavaria. These are 'special forces' and I can only build 8 of them so there is no hurry.
I now turn my attention to the East and start deploying air wings there. While France is Germany's archenemy we are definitely not friends of Communism no matter which nationality but the Soviet Union is the breeding ground of this vile rabble. If we were to attack them I can't imagine any western power coming to their aid. We also need Lebensraum and there is plenty of space for us to colonize there.
At Krakow I deploy enough Fokkers for 4 air wings....
…. and for two air wings at Revel in Estonia.
25 May 1914: I assign them missions (in friendly territory).
That is quite an armada over Eastern Poland.
I also deploy a Zeppelin wing at Revel. I'm justifying all this to the Soviets by pointing at the 'hostile' Scandinavian nations.
27 May 1914: Finally I create two air wings at Warszawa in the Western Poland region.
31 May 1914: I finish this post reviewing my light warship production plan. I need a light cruiser to replace the Magdeburg class. The current fleet will be useless against the Royal Navy but as new ships arrive the older ones can defend the colonies and their shipping lanes.
I have begun laying the foundations of Germany's Ostpolitik and a lot needs to be done. The infrastructure is terrible but we are in no hurry. Secretly I'm hoping that the Soviets will make themselves even more unpopular with Germany's western neighbours. Bis bald.
