Prussia - HOI4 - Increasing Pressure

01 Apr 1913: I move 3rd Army up to the front but don't commit it.
02 Apr 1913: Woodrow Wilson's New Freedom. Nice to have time for such follies.
I commit 3rd Army. Let's see if these fresh troops can make a difference.
08 Apr 1913: Only 15 days now. That is a huge improvement! Light at the end of the tunnel?
11 Apr 1913: Only 11 divisions defending. Are they running out of reserves?
17 Apr 1913: The British lose another merchant. 
18 Apr 1913: The Entente now have 32 divisions in Montenegro!
There are 9 divisions defending and the battle is expected to last another 10 days.
19 Apr 1913: Uprisings in Luxembourg because it's not garrisoned.
22 Apr 1913: Only 6 divisions defending now and 8 days of battle....
27 Apr 1913: Only 3 divisions holding the line and 6 days of battle....
28 Apr 1913: 1st Army at the southern end of the front is making no headway.
04 May 1913: I add 6 more divisions to the battle.
07 May 1913: The tech Improved Infantry Equipment I has been completed. The 15% bonus may carry the battle!
I select Early Support Weapons II next. Another measure to improve my infantry. Again a 1914 technology.
No more technologies for a while....
11 May 1913: We receive Fighter Focus. This could be an important one.
I select Paramilitarism next to cut division training time.
And the British lose another merchant. I'd prefer they lose a battleship....
I add the new MF to my field gun production.
Nothing new from that report.
I create another CAS air wing.
Also a Zeppelin wing.
I set its desired strength at 20 airships.
18 May 1913: They have received reinforcements and are back at 8 divisions defending the line.
As you can see this may take a while but other things keep me busy. Maybe the next post will bring the desired breakthrough. Bis bald.

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll.
