Ottoman - HOI4 - War with Italy (I)

11 Nov 1911: We are at war but admin work first. The focus Dockyard Expansion has arrived....
….and I select Equipment Effort next.
I put both fleets on Search and Destroy in the Eastern Mediterranean.
At Tobruk there are five Italian divisions against my 4. I call the other two divisions from Tripoli and Benghazi.
On the mainland I have 13 divisions from various armies in ports and I order them all to Benghazi.
I give my 2 air wings anti-ship missions over the Eastern Mediterranean.
We appear to have the advantage at the moment.
Hejaz is called to arms.
12 Nov 1911: The News breaks....
17 Nov 1911: 5 divisions have arrived in Benghazi and are immediately sent to the frontline.
18 Nov 1911: Reinforcements now number 12 divisions.
19 Nov 1911: Units from 5 armies are now involved. We have lost air superiority over Asia Minor. That can be fixed. There is also naval combat.
23 Nov 1911: Well we are outnumbered....
24 Nov 1911: We have more divisions involved but we are still losing the battles. I don't understand why Italy has control of Tobruk because my divisions haven't retreated. My only chance of winning is to deny them the port and they can't fight forever without supplies. The AI is cheating.
28 Nov 1911: We are getting nowhere....
I select Huseyin Rauf as my Navy CoS.
03 Dec 1911: In one battle we are making progress. I still have 2 divisions IN Tobruk!
06 Dec 1911: Now they have retreated.
12 Dec 1911: I'm putting more pressure on the single Italian division.
This time our navy got hit hard. 13 destroyers sunk....
….and the battle is still raging.
That's all for this post. I have to decide whether to continue the offensive or retire. Until soon.

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. 06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals.
