Prussia - HOI4 - Army Reorganization

21 Jul 1917: During the campaign conquered areas were haphazardly garrisoned with no real plan at all. So I cancel the mission of Besattsungsarmee....
….and that of 3rd Army in the Caucasus too.
I select all the Stoßtruppen-Divisionen in 3rd Army and create a new Army.
The new 7th Army has two divisions too many so I reassign them to 5th Army which is understrength.
I rename 7th Army and Armee Südrussland is now the garrison force for southern Russia.
My three air bases in the Caucasus.
Southeast of Moscow I select those 24 divisions, which are all in Besatzungsarmee and create another new Army.
I add 5 more divisions and this new 'new' 7th Army is ordered to garrison NW Russia.
I select these 3 'Russian' armies and create Armeegruppe Russland. Crown Prince Wilhelm is appointed as the commander.
I assign 3rd Army, which now only has 15 untrained Ersatz-Divisionen, to Armeegruppe Ost.
The three armies have been ordered to new home bases at Berlin, Königsberg and Warsaw.
8th, 10th and 11 Armies are assigned to the new Armeegruppe Mitte. Their home bases are Serbia, Metz and Munich. Much more organized now.
22 Jul 1917: The technology Military Camera has been researched.
I select Phosgene Shells for our chemical warfare units.
I add a couple of Baltic Duchy divisions to Armee Karibik. All my armies are now in Armeegruppen.
25 Jul 1917: I create a new Luftflotte in Schleswig Holstein.
27 Jul 1917: I also deploy a couple of new wings in Oberbayern and assign them to monitoring the Alpine Region. Italy is still worrying me..
29 Jul 1917: I decide to assign 4 more air wings to the air space over the Alps.
My overseas construction is progressing well.
30 Jul 1917: The focus Air Bombing Effort has been completed.
I select Airfield Expansion II next.
I check the Trade report and I am pleased to report that the Empire is autark (self-sufficient).
Looking at the Diplomacy table we have many friends around the world.
A lot of enemies too in Europe.
I have to remedy that somehow but there is no quick fix. Another long-term consideration is how to rid Germany of Austria-Hungary without a war.

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll.
