Prussia - HOI4 - A New Strategy

09 Nov 1917: I begin justifying a war goal against Hejaz. I need something more than Djibouti to establish Germany in the region. Hejaz is a puppet of the Ottoman Empire therefore they will automatically be called into the conflict. This time I shall definitely call Austria-Hungary into the war because I have no interest in occupying Turkey. A-H can have it. My prime goal is to challenge British domination in the region without challenging them directly.
13 Nov 1917: I select 10 fully-trained Stoßtruppen-Divisionen from the Armeeschule and assign them to General von Einem's 11th Army.
13 Nov 1917: I've found two more divisions in northern France....
….and I order the army to garrison former French Somaliland. The 15 divisions will automatically move there now.
Five of 10th Army's divisions are untrained so I transfer them to the Armeeschule.
16 Nov 1917: The technology Early Support Weapons III arrives.
I select Mountain Infantry II next.
16 Nov 1917: I also plan construction work at Djibouti (see the schedule left).
15 Nov 1917: I assign 5th Army to Armeegruppe Mitte.
Then I order 5th Army to the Serbian border with Bulgaria. Troops will be in theatre if A-H needs them.
22 Nov 1917: I order 1st Army to Armenia, i.e. the border with the Ottoman Empire.
23 Nov 1917: They are now in transit. My presence at their border will prevent all their troops being sent to the Balkans to fight A-H.
13 Dec 1917: I upgrade 15 Ersatz-Divisionen in 11th Army to Festungs.Divisionen.
Then in 8th Army 14 Reserve-Divisionen are upgraded to Stoßtruppen-Divisionen.
17 Dec 1917: Special Forces Focus arrives....
….and I select Airfield Expansion III next.
28 Dec 1917: Germany guarantees the independence of Jabal Shammar.
02 Jan 1918: Not a good way to begin a New Year....
05 Jan 1918: I deploy two new Fighter air wings to Serbia.
The German Empire remains #1 in the world.
Note that the USA has neither a Navy nor an Air Force. The do have approx. 100 divisions though.

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll.
