Prussia - HOI4 - Q1, 1919

01 Feb 1919: I stop the production of Armoured Cars. We should have enough until a new model arrives.
There are also enough heavy tanks to convert the 7 Panzer-Divisionen in Panzerarmee Maghrib to the new design.
They need training because of all the new equipment.
10 Feb 1919: The focus Pilot Formation has been completed.
I want the extra research slot so I select Infrastructure Effort IV.
14 Feb 1919: The Arabischer Flotta is placed on patrol in the Arabian Sea. I need to separate the U-Booten but that can wait. They are restricting the range of the surface ships.
I order 1st Panzerarmee to Thessaloniki.
16 Feb 1919: The research for the doctrine Naval Convoy Escort has been completed.
I proceed with the next doctrine Coordinated Submarines.
19 Fen 1919: I receive the technology Improved Infantry Equipment II....
….and select Signal Company I next. The 20% initiative is important in attacks.
20 Feb 1919: The tactical bomber Gotha G.V has been developed for the Luftwaffe.
I select the doctrine V-Formation next.
I place it in production initially with 10 MFs and I note that Fokker M.5s are still being upgraded to the V.5 A variant.
My research projects as of 20 Feb 1919: Nothing will be arriving for almost 3 months.
I remove Armee Südrussland 1 from Armeegruppe Russland, rename it 6th Army, and order it to Warsaw.
10 Mar 1919: I've overlooked the completion of a Bayern Class battleship so I start 2 new production lines for the Berlin Class battleships and reassign 5 dockyards from elsewhere. When the final Bayern Class is ready for launch 3 of its dockyards will automatically be assigned to the news ships.
22 Mar 1919: I create a new template for a New Kolonial-Division by adding a Siege Artillery battalion and changing the infantry battalions to reequipped infantry. That's one way of using the surplus Siege Artillery. :)
I note that the UK....
….Austria-Hungary....
….and Italy are all upgrading their armed forces, i.e. planning nothing political, so there is nothing to be concerned about.
28 Mar 1919: I expend 100 PPs to create a new building slot, this time in Tunisia.
30 Mar 1919: I deploy a large Luftflotte in Albania.
04 Apr 1919: Finally I deploy 2 CAS air wings to Wallonia.
The Global Review. No real change
I now have 1 fleet more than the UK and the US still has no aircraft deployed, (they may have some in reserves).
That's the major changes in the 1st Quarter of 1919. What will the 2nd Quarter bring? Bis bald....

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll.
