Prussia - HOI4 - Three Front War
13 Apr 1918: First I declare war on the puppet state of Hejaz.
In the Red Sea I change the mission of my fleets to 'Search and Destroy'.
In the Mediterranean too. U-Bootdivisionen are changed to 'Convoy Raiding' from 'Convoy Escort'.
I call Austria-Hungary into the war.
14 Apr 1918: They call Serbia into the war. Now we are in business.
15 Apr 1918: In the Balkans the whole frontline is on fire....
….but 5th Army can't do much where it is because Bulgaria has a non-aggression pact with the Ottoman Empire. So I cancel their orders....
….and send them south to support 8th Army.
In the NE of the Ottoman Empire our troops are also on the offensive.
16 Apr 1918: It's obviously a bit early to get meaningful statistics but the Ottomans are hopelessly outnumbered.
19 Apr 1918: My amphibious assault is coming along fine. 5 divisions are already on land south of Jeddah while another 5 are assaulting Jeddah from the sea. I've sent three divisions on shore north to support the assault on Jeddah. The plan is to capture the port then ship in the remainder of 11th Army plus some extra troops from outside the theatre to eventually attack into Palestine and the Levant. I have to secure Hejaz and Yemen first though.
22 Apr 1918: Breakthrough on the Armenian front.
25 Apr 1918: The Turkish fleet has suffered a devastating defeat near Rhodes!
Looking positive....
27 Apr 1918: Jeddah's capture is imminent.
We've sunk 4 merchants in the Western Mediterranean.
Meanwhile on the home front I'm reinforcing the Armeegruppe Balkan's 10th Army in Bavaria.
I transfer 4 divisions of 11th Army to Panzerarmee 1 which is destined for service in the Middle East and Arabia.
05 May 1918: we have sunk another merchant.
06 May 1918. Austro-Hungarian forces have achieved a massive breakthrough in Albania. Also the focus Aircraft Production has arrived.
I select Armament Effort II next.
That's all for this post. We have made progress on all three fronts and our Austro-Hungarian allies are fighting well. Bis bald....
