Australia - HOI4 - Autumn 1936

It's the beginning of Spring in Australia and we are making excellent progress. Our research project Electronic Mechanical Engineering has completed so we move on to Mechanical Computing.

It takes over 7 months to research but it will be invaluable when we want encrypt our secret documents and decipher the enemy's.

Research has been taken care of for a while but I'm still not impressed with our manpower reserves.

As long as we are stuck with an all-volunteer force though our hands are tied.

03 Dec 1936 and the Civilian Factory (CF) has finally been completed. 6 CFs are now working on a Military Factory (MF) in Queensland and I have placed another CF in the Construction queue.

A nice Xmas present from the mother country - 12 x 18pdr Field Guns per month. I can use them but it counters our bid for independence though only slightly.

The 16th of December 1936 is the day we officially begin travelling down the road to independence. The National Focus South Australian Housing Trust has completed and we now embark upon Never Another Gallipoli.

Finally a reminder that we still don't have enough equipment to deploy new divisions....

1936 has been an important year for Australia - we are gearing up to counter the growing threat in the world. Our government has clearly decided on an Australia First policy. To meet threat on our front doorstep not to fight foreign wars in Europe or elsewhere. See you in 1937!
