Italy - HOI4 - Yugoslavian Campaign

We attack along the entire front.
As expected the Yugoslavians call on Czechoslovakia for help.
Great, Britain is busy elsewhere!
The French can't deliver the rubber we need for our war machine.
So I'll get it from the United Kingdom instead.
The Czechs have attacked - they have 304 dead while we have only lost 7 on all fronts. We are outnumbered in this conflict.
19 Jul 1937: Not good for Adolf. General Franco has been defeated. Spain is communist and will probably join the Comintern.
Since we didn't support Franco with ground forces we are not in his bad books - yet.
Need I say more?
20 July - We've lost a submarine - oops!
21 Jul 1937: Some good news. General Balbo's 1st Army has advanced northwest of Ljubljana.
23 Jul 1937: The bad news is that we have lost Zara and 2 armoured divisions were destroyed!
 We have broken through their lines south of Ljubljana and are now threatening the city from the rear.
01 Aug 1935: We sink an enemy destroyer...
...and a submarine. Revenge is sweet.
02 August and the Yugoslavian front in Slovenia is crumbling.
In the Adriatic they also lose a Light Cruiser.
05 Aug 1937: The two pockets in Slovenia have been crushed. Our forces are now heading for Zagreb - the capital of Croatia.
13 Aug 1937: My research project Concentrated Industry II has completed.
I start researching armour - not that L6 is any good but I need to pass beyond it for something better..
24 August and we are maintaining the pressure. Once this line of defence is broken we should be able to advance swifter.
02 Sep 1937: All's quiet in the north.
In the south the enemy casualties are mounting and the Czechs appear to have been quiet. No new casualties.
This is the air screen. Green means we have air superiority while the yellow means 50:50. I'm moving an air wing to the Alpine region to redress the balance.
03 Sep 1937: Zagreb has fallen. Now it's a mad rush to Belgrade. We are attacking on a broad front.
On Sep 15 we are at the gates of their capital - no forces are defending it.
They are still not capitulating. We shall have capture Sarajevo too.
I'm putting captured MFs to good use....
...and need to import more to fuel the economy. Steel from Germany...
...and more oil from the Dutch East Indies
20 Sep 1937: The Czechs appear to be waiting for the inevitable. Our attack!
 Finally they throw in the towel.
I have enough points to totally annex Yugoslavia.
 Italy has pulled off an incredible gamble.
Now we turn our attention to Czechoslovakia. They knifed us in the back and all Germany can do is watch our successes. The Czechs have good defences though. Level 7 forts along the entire border with us and Germany.

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort . Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll....
