Italy - HOI4 - Big Changes

16 Nov 1938: I need to start building my new destroyer. I decide to upgrade its engines.
That's what it gave - a small increase but it could make a difference. In fact I set up 2 production lines each with 3 dockyards each.
I need more steel so I import it from Germany.
They've chosen Align Romania as their next focus - with an active War Goal against them?
As for the French, it's defensive so I'm not worried. They're not going communist after all. Daladier appears to have them under control.
The British are busy in the Far East.
No good news from the Kremlin - well no good news for Adolf.
Talk of the Devil he has formalized the Pact. Also I am soon to receive a new fighter which I also won't produce. I'm just researching the technology.
25 Nov 1938 and here it is. Finally a monoplane.
I'm researching Concentrated Industry III next.
An  overview - nothing completing in the near future.
09 Dec 1938: I need to address my shortages - I do have beaucoup factories.
I've put more emphasis on the big guns which means I need more steel and tungsten.

Happy New Year! On 04 January I assign two trained Armoured Divisions to Army Mobile giving a total of five.
25 January and my focus Italy First is completed.
Benito proclaims the Novus Imperium Romanum (it sounds good) so we have our marching orders.
My next focus is Bomber Effort. This inter-war air force is driving me bonkers.
News from the Far East. It appears that Siam has sided with Japan. What does London think of that?
On 04 Feb 1939 my first airborne division is ready for training.
13 Feb 1939 and Adolf is asking for a non-aggression pact. I shall not reply to keep him guessing.
Another armoured division arrives and is placed in training.
The Army Mobile as of 18 Feb 1939.
A big day because the Democrats (PPI) are demanding a referendum and I expend 100 PP to enable it. Will I regret this???
The end of the short-lived Novus Imperium Romanum.

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. I start recruiting 10 more assault divisions. I like those figures but look at the contribution of the Allies - ZERO!!! 31 Aug 1941. Our forces have captured Kiev, the Ukrainian capital. Germany - HOI4 - Opposing Hitler

14 Sep 1937: The smoke has cleared and I update my Production. I have 57 MFs now but only 4 are being used on the Luftwaffe. Most of my aircraft designs are outdated though so I don't want to waste too much resources on that junk. My Heer (Army) is also short on everything.... That means I can take a shortcut back to the Heimat (home). 22 Sep 1937: The Oppose Hitler focus is completed.... ….no further comment required. That means Nazis versus the German Military Junta (me). We are at war again. I select the focus Reichsautobahn . The good news is that we vastly outnumber the Nazi forces. Unfortunately my forces are all over Europe and forming a frontline will take time which means I shall lose territory for a while. 23 Sep 1937: Reichsautobahn has been cancelled because I don't own some of the territory required. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone.
