Italy - HOI4 - More Escalation?

30 Mar 1942: Stalin has now really gone crazy. Declaring war on Japan? The problem is that a Soviet defeat will also benefit the Japanese.
31 Mar 1942: Japan now calls in this Siamese fascist as OUR ally.
Well he is not our ally and has already been defeated.
01 Apr 1942: The Latvian front has not only been stabilized, we are counterattacking.  
Another ally. Japan probably needs them (hopefully).

I need to assign my medium tank destroyers soon but the divisions are moving so fast that I doubt the TDs could catch up with them.
05 Apr 1942: The promised US divisions have arrived but in Rome - 1000s of kilometers from the front. Let them guard Vatican City.
I've moved my surface fleet's home port to Istanbul to be nearer to the battles in the Black Sea.

07 Apr 1942: The battle at the gates of Crimea will soon begin.
12 Apr 1941 sees another naval victory but nothing decisive so far.
14 Apr 1942: Our Russian allies are attempting to cross the Kerch Straits.
The Soviets appear to have only 4 ships in the Black Sea.
15 Apr 1942: Italian forces have now joined the battle. Other Italian divisions are beginning to near the main frontline. I've ordered De Bono's army to advance along the northern coast of the Azov Sea.
16 Apr 1942: Now the Germans are gate-crashing our party. Where are the British?
The Air Superiority screen - green is good for us.
17 Apr 1942: Republican Spain (communists) join Comintern. Not good for the Germans in occupied France if the Soviets call them in as an ally.
The battles in European Russia. Our forces in Latvia (upper-left) are advancing well.
I feared that may happen. Spain against Germany but also against us because we are fighting Comintern too.
18  Apr 1942 and the Germans call a 'dead' ally into their war.
We are in the Soviet-Italian War, not the Soviet-German War. The Soviets have lost so much territory but are only 10% towards capitulation. Russia is vast!
I believe we have the upper hand south of Moscow.
19 Apr 1942 and the Hungarians have decided to join in. Our World War 2 definitely did not start with Poland. It's all little Latvia's fault with a sprinkling of help from the Soviets.
Now Spain is officially part of our war too. We may have to defeat Spain to end this conflict.
21 Apr 1942 and there is wonderful news from Crimea. I order three armoured divisions to take Sevastopol.
Back on the Home Front I deploy these 10 divisions early.
I place them in the Training Army then order them to train while defending our Alpine border with ex-France. The Spanish are advancing unopposed! Well almost...
Mongolia now joins the Soviet-Japanese War. Notice Bulgarian divisions at sea approaching France.
Finally I decline Hitler's offer for a non-aggression pact. We are not friends, Adolf.
Well there really is plenty of action now. But where are the Allies? I think the UK has more pressing problems fighting the Japanese.

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals.
