Italy - HOI4 - Regrouping

21 Mar 1940 and my focus Air Innovations II has completed.
I select Albanian Occupation next. Hopefully they wont refuse my ultimatum.
Don't worry, guys. Tannu Tuva is a long way from Europe.
Good news. The Soviets don't look interested in eastern Europe at the moment.
Germany finally make a good move.
31 Mar 1940: Two new armoured division arrive and are sent to training.
A lot of surplus artillery production...
...so I move a couple to Infantry Equipment.
I am importing too much steel from Germany so I reduce it.
I also reduce the amount of tungsten coming from Portugal.
Voilà!
All quiet on the Western Front - Remarque sends his greetings. I shall add though that Holland has captured a piece of Germany, so has Switzerland.
19 Apr 1940: I have a lot of aircraft in reserve so I need to allocate them. I build an air group in Macedonia which is conveniently near to Albania.
I bolster the air wings in Calabria.
In Sicily too.
Last but not least Sardinia receives an extra air wing
Still no battles on the western fronts - a phoney war?
21 April: I receive my third airborne unit, the 184th Parachute Division. It enters training.
I decide to add an Engineer Company to my Coastal Division template.
Units already deployed now need a little extra training.
There appears to be a stalemate in Romania too.
Happy May Day. A Caio Duilio class battleship has entered service. I use the free dockyards to start a second Littorio class battleship.
My fleets are still patrolling in the Adria so I move half of them more to the west.
The other half to the Eastern Mediterranean.
Both cover the Central Mediterranean.
07 May 1940: A new modern tactical bomber arrives - the Cant Z.1007bis.
I use the free research slot for Rubber Processing.
I replace the Br.20 with the new aircraft.
I need to increase production....
...so I add 2 MFs from the Bf 109 D allotment.
There is a lot of bookkeeping in this game. Attention to detail. Until next time, guys.

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort . Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll....
