Italy - HOI4 - The Waiting Game

What am I waiting for? The campaigning season. It would be foolish to start such an important struggle in the middle of winter. I can also replenish the equipment for my armed forces. Furthermore I am adjusting my Trade often because convoys are being harassed by Spanish and Soviet aircraft operating from Spain. Also as new MFs are constructed they need resources to produce equipment.
26 Jan 1943: I reduce steel coming from Sweden...
...and order from Norway instead.
I cancel my steel imports from Australia... 
...and the UK then...
...I reduce it from Russia.
27 Jan 1943: I can cancel oil imports from the US because new refineries are coming online.
I have decided to fortify my border with Germany just in case my invasion fails. I will have a fall back line.
30 Jan 1943: I change my focus from Training to Construction Engineering. That should speed things up.
01 Feb 1943: The Empire in the Far East is threatened by Japan and the British are more concerned about Scandinavia???
15 Feb 1943 and British Malaya has capitulated.  This AI does some crazy things.
19 Feb 1943 and I deploy a new air wing of Ba.88s to Tyrol.
28 Feb 1943: Something I should have done a while back is cancel my lend lease to the French Commune. Ungrateful Frogs....
01 Mar 1943: It looks like Sitzkrieg in southern France.
03 Mar 1943: There appears to be an amphibious assault at the Dutch-Belgian border. Leave some Germany for me, guys.
The next day I order General Messe's army to assemble at Prague.
12 Mar 1943 and the Kingdom of Rattanakosin (former Siam) asks me for a non-aggression pact. I accept it.
13 Mar 1943: I place all the untrained divisions in a single new training unit. When completed they will be returned to their former commands.
I also import more steel from the Russian Federation. 
18 Mar 1943: I still see no changes.
28 Mar 1943: Same again....
01 Apr 1943: I decide to stop producing transport aircraft. I have more than enough for my 4 parachute divisions.
No April Fool's joke. The 35 day countdown begins today.
I wonder how this will affect the Russian effort against the Spanish.

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort . Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals.
