Italy - HOI4 - Frustrations

12 Jun 1943: Germany has been defeated but we are still at war. You lose a battle....

….but also win one.

We are clearly winning but look at the losses of the Russian Federation. The war against Germany costed Italy only 8K dead!

The French Commune are still in the Allies but we can now finally have military access.

So I request it.

It doesn't help though because they have a Non-Aggression Pact with Republican Spain so I can't attack from their territory. Damn!!!

I delete all orders for Army Mobile. I do the same for all my armies because Germany has capitulated so the orders are now useless.

I assign General Balbo's Army Alps a sector of the new Soviet border.

Then give an objective.

In fact I give each division orders.

I order Army Mobile to Genoa....

….and Army Germania to Latium province.

Army Airborne is sent to garrison Hungary.

Look at all those CFs busy constructing. I plan air defences for my western air regions.

My armoured divisions need more bite so I add a Medium Tank battalion, a Motorized Infantry battalion and four support units. That costs 50 XP but I have plenty.

I also upgrade Badoglio's coastal divisions to regular infantry divisions.

Done.

I assign them to the Alpine border with France.

Four items are in deficit at the moment.

13 Jun 1943: Developments in Asia. India has defeated and annexed fascist Free India.

Good news but there are still a lot of problems in Asia.

Now I need to adjust my Trade. More tungsten from Russia.

From Portugal too.

I now have beaucoup German steel so I cancel imports from Russia...

….and from Sweden.

Finally I import more oil from Russia.

That's all for this post. The next one will be similar because I have 100+ captured MFs and they need to be assigned to produce what the Italian war machine requires.
