Prussia - HOI4 - Charlie Mike!
11 Nov 1911: The strategy meeting is over so back to the frontlines. The red line below shows the border before the war.
My pre-war plans are somewhat out-of-date so I need to revamp them.
Let's see what the Italians are up to. They appear to have carried out an amphibious landing on the Libyan coast.
I order 7th Army to garrison the Dalmatian coast. I don't want anyone to pee in that soup.
I select Schutztruppe Deployment in Africa as my next focus. I think it is a mistake because the early war denied me the chance to build up my forces there but I can't simply abandon Africa. I'm hoping to distract British forces from Europe.
A nice view of what 7th Army is doing.
12 Nov 1911: There's the confirmation.
The Adriatic appears to be void of warships. That's good.
13 Nov 1911: Still the same in the West. A stalemate.
I'm glad the French aren't attacking because I don't know how good those Festung-Divisionen are and I have no real reserves.
I'm going to cancel the 13th Division. That might speed things up.
I appoint Wilhelm Siegert to the Military High Command. A Close Air Support (CAS) expert.
I plan trenches in Wallonia but no construction will happen as long as the Entente forces are attacking.
I've reorganized my Army Group 1 in the East. Time to show more emphasis.
Their casualties are building up nicely.
1% in our favour? Is that all?
At first sight is doesn't look good for Italy but all they want is Libya. They are not trying to conquer Turkey. The Ottomans have their hands full in the Balkans and that is more important for them.
We are NOT amused. Somehow I must counter that.
First I send a Military Attaché to Roma. We both benefit from that.
They accepted :)
Next I start improving relations with Italy. It costs 0.4 PP per day but war with Italy would cost a lot more.
I shall also deploy an air wing to the region in order to 'show the flag'.
I'm moving divisions to attack on the right flank of the 18 Russian divisions with the aim of linking up with forces coming through Brest-Litovsk. Another encirclement would really hurt the Russians. Why aren't the Austrians attacking?
This post concerns only 3 days of the war but a lot is changing and strategies need to be modified. The AH forces are doing much better than I ever hoped for and that gives hopes of a decisive victory in the East. Bis bald!
