Ottoman - HOI4 - Bulgaria or Bust
15 Jul 1912: I've added a couple of MFs from occupied territory to producing Infantry Equipment. Too many divisions are tied up behind the main frontline.
I select Destroyer IV next. We have to rebuild the navy so we need modern ships.
21 Jul 1912: The technology for Engineering Drawing has completed. Sofia is under increased pressure and the front in the south and west is still under control.
We research Reciprocating Engine next.
Varna in the NE has been captured and has yielded two more MFs. I assign one each to Field Artillery and Scout Aircraft.
25 Jul 1912: I accept more Lend Lease from Hejaz and the noose around Sofia is tightening.
30 Jul 1912: The Japanese Emperor has died.
Sofia has fallen.
Serbia and Belgrade is next but it won't be a walkover. There are less enemy divisions on the Greek front. Are they being force marched northwards?
31 Jul 1912: Now it is official and all Bulgarian divisions disappear from the battlefield....
….and we'll put the captured equipment to good use. South of Skopje there is a huge gap in their front. Let's exploit it.
06 Aug 1912: Serbian forces in the north are spread thin too but I'm lacking reserves in the right place. The terrain favours the defence too.
I plan a fall-back line in Thrace just in case.
18 Aug 1912: The focus Aviation Effort has completed. Belgrade and total victory is so near!
I choose Naval Gun Effort next.
22 Aug 1912: I deploy these 4 divisions early so they can be the garrison troops for occupied Bulgaria.
07 Sep 1912: Two groups of 8 enemy divisions are stubbornly pinning down my forces. I can't bypass them because they would cause all kinds of chaos in my rear if they were to break through my lines.
The defence line in Thrace is almost completed.
Well that chart isn't too helpful...
....but this one is better.
Just confirming that we are the defenders....
18 Sep 1912: Stalemate. The 'red' 27 in the middle is me preventing those 4 divisions from reinforcing the 6 east of their position.
We've gotten bogged down in trench warfare but I want to break that bulge in the centre. More in the next post.
