15 Dec 1911: I've decided to conduct an orderly withdrawal and fight another day. My divisions simply don't have the staying power for sustained conflict.
I also transfer one of my air wings to Asia Minor.
16 Dec 1911: My 36 aircraft should soon counter their 8 airships....
This is what worries me most though. Both Bulgaria....
….and Serbia want to gatecrash the war and that doesn't fit in my plans for them.
The table says we are winning but I can't recapture Tobruk so it's over. Time to return home.
The Italian navy is out there so I shall have to run the gauntlet.
The plan is to order the infantry divisions to Benghazi while the cavalry holds the line.
20 Dec 1911: We're winning with 10 divisions against one of theirs but we'll have no chance of victory against all 5 together. Since they have the port they can also call in reinforcements.
24 Dec 1911: We won that one! That might help our evacuation because the fleets are near Malta - a long way from our position.
That's 4 divisions leaving.
25 Dec 1911: That's a fifth division.
28 Dec 1911: All the infantry divisions are withdrawing and the 5 cavalry divisions are shielding them. The Italians appear to have only 4 divisions now...
30 Dec 1911: So far so good.
31 Dec 1911: The technology for Light Cruiser II is now available.
Not good but that is in the Red Sea and not where we are.
I select the technology Improved Hand Tools.
Now this is what I don't like at all.
The worst case scenario is to be at war with the Balkan League and Italy at the same time.
This could all happen within 6 months.
I can't afford to lose troops in Africa. Until soon...

Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll....
