Prussia - HOI4 - Converging on Constantinople (I)

15 Jul 1918: The focus Armament Effort II has arrived.
I select the focus Construction Effort next.
20 Jul 1918: The Kriegsmarine receives the new S131 Class destroyer....
….and the Cöln class light cruiser. 1st Panzerarmee is now in Hejaz and is pushing along the coast.
Staying with the Kriegsmarine I select the U139 Class Unterseeboot….
….as well as the doctrine Naval Convoy Escort.
31 Jul 1918: 8th Army needs new orders so I cancel the old ones....
….redefine the frontline and set the stop line beyond Constantinople.
01 Aug 1918: The Austro-Hungarians can have the scenic mountain route, I'm taking the coastal road.
Hopefully that will put more pressure on the Turkish defenders. I told the troops that the campaign will be over before the leaves fall...
04 Aug 1918: The army receives the Engineer Company III upgrade. That could be useful.
I select Maintenance Company II next. With more motorization and armour it seems a logical thing to do.
We appear to be winning a naval battle near Heraklion.
05 Aug 1918: We are not making much of a dent in the overall Ottoman Empire but their casualties don't look at all good.
Stalemate in Arabia so I've ordered an amphibious assault at Aqaba. I've also switched naval production to the new designs.
We can soon start producing the new Berlin Class battleships.
17 Aug 1918: Another 17 days before the amphibious assault can begin.
We also start producing an upgraded version of the new Zeppelin.
20 Aug 1918: The troops coming from the Caucasus are really racing towards Constantinople! Mein Gott!
30 Aug 1918: In Thrace 8th Army is stepping up the pressure too.
I've captured some dockyards so I can start producing the new battleship earlier than planned.
The Ottomans are now 49% towards capitulation and have 3 times the casualties of the combined Central Powers' losses. Notice that I corrected the new battleship construction.

28 Jan 1941: Just over one week after we responded to the brutal Soviet assault on Finland we have made considerable gains despite the many handicaps which have confronted us. Italy - HOI4 - Danzig or War?

06 Apr 1939 - Let us stroll around Europe and survey the mood at the brink of war. The Soviets have a very bad opinion of Germany. That is good news. My wars did that. The same in France. That is very good news. Poland needs all the friends it can get. To be expected. 07 April and the insatiable Adolf Hitler is grabbing more territory. 20 Apr 1939 and Radio Detection has been researched. I now select Advanced Machine Tools . I must keep my industry as modern as possible. I'm satisfied with the situation. 09 May 1939 and Computing Machine research is completed. I can now research Decryption-Frequency Analysis . It sounds interesting, 14 Jun 1939 - Decision day for Poland and they quite rightly presumed that Germany would want more than Danzig alone. Germany now has a justification to attack Poland (game rules). Meanwhile at home my next focus will be Carrier Effort . Prussia - HOI4 - Drang Nach Osten (I)

06 Feb 1917: The Soviets call Georgia into the conflict.... ….and Mongolia too. 11 Feb 1917: Deep penetrations on the Northern Front. 12 Feb 1917: I divert a few divisions from 6th Army south then east to support the southern flank. 14 Feb 1917: The first naval battle ends in a German victory. 19 Feb 1917: I order a couple of divisions to advance on the Soviet capital Petrograd. Two weeks into the campaign and the road to Moscow appears to be free of defenders. Oh, we have lost air superiority over Eastern Germany. 23 Feb 1917: I deploy 6 air wings from my reserves to remedy the situation, 26 Feb 1917: We are at the gates of both Petrograd and Moscow. 27 Feb 1917: I add more MFs to Infantry Equipment and Fokker CAS aircraft. We have captured Novgorod so I send 4 more divisions from 5th Army to Petrograd. 28 Feb 1917: A defeat? 8 old destroyers sunk a battleship and a light cruiser. Give them some medals. We have only 137 dead! Almost a Sunday stroll....
